Hunter safety page:
The Hunter Safety course is conducted
several times a year based on demand. We run courses most often in
the months before hunting season. This course is to obtain a
hunter safety certificate . After the certificate is issued you
must still obtain a License . The certificate is good for life and
should be set aside in a safe place where you keep other important
documents such as birth certificates. The Hunter Safety
course is mandated by the State of California to be 10 hours.
Start time is 7am and continues until 5pm. Please make arrangement
to have a ride ready in the afternoon. Please arrive early for
class with your book and lunch.
The Cost of the course is ONLY
$10.00.
IMPORTANT
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
* You must obtain and complete a Hunter Safety workbook. Available
from Walmart or Big 5 Sporting goods in the Tulare or Visalia
area. The Hunter Safety workbook is normally located at the
sporting goods counter. You MUST bring the completed
workbook to class.
* There is no age limit, however there is a 100 question multiple
choice test that requires a basic reading comprehension level to
complete. Whenever possible, students under the age of
thirteen (13) should have a parent or mentor attend with them to
help with the reading of the test. Parents are always
encouraged to attend.
* This course is conducted at Rankin field in Tulare CA. The
range has a small snack bar, but you should bring a sack lunch and
water.
